The High and Mighty Tour

Comedian Chelsea Handler kicks off The High and Mighty Tour Saturday 2nd May 2026 at the Durham Performing Arts Center, although "kicks off" maybe isn't the exact word for it. More like she cruised in and set up shop for a night of comedic commentary.

One-of-a-kind and deliciously malevolent, according to The New York Times, Ms. Handler will present new stand-up as part of her The High and Mighty Tour. The author of several books and star of eight seasons of E!‘s Chelsea Handler Show, tickets are on sale now, starting at $59.

One of the premiere entertainment venues in the region, the DPAC has some of the most advanced sound and video capabilities in the world along with excellent sightlines from almost any seat in the house. Since this is a comedy event, sightlines are particularly important. The three levels of seating extend from the lower level through to the middle tier of seats and up to the gallery seating areas. Durham Performing Arts Center has a full garage, located right next to the theater where patrons can park. There are spaces available right there. Alternative parking locations are available throughout downtown Durham at a variety of locations around the courthouse. Private parking is also available on many downtown Durham streets.
