Did you know? Alexander Hamilton became famous for his role as the first Secretary of the Treasury in the United States and author of the Federalist Papers. He later died from a gunshot wound he sustained in a duel he had with the U.S. Vice President, Aaron Burr.
The interesting and chaotic tale inspired Lin-Manuel Miranda to create this musical masterpiece. Right from the start in 2015, Hamilton has become known throughout the world.
Hamilton received a holy 16 Tony Awards nominations and won 11, including Best Musical. This epic musical received the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Best Drama.
Some say the greatest part of the Hamilton experience is its ethnically diverse cast. The musical casts racial minorities to play the original Founding Fathers.
