We were as spellbound by the scenery as we were at the performance itself. It moved to host different settings, things floated and flew around on stage and it was all truly magical. And for good reason. We were told that the production flew in just under 80 tonnes worth of scenery. Even more astounding, that it takes over 8 km of cable to automate it, not that we could spot any! Not often do we get chances to learn things about ourselves, and often when we do, we don't listen. However, theatre teaches us about ourselves. It helps us to think about how our minds work, and also how the minds of other people work. This is key in developing personalities and creating a society where people understand fundamentals such as empathy. It helps us to see how the environments in which we live affect who we are and who we will become. These stories which are told to us in a completely unique way are all thanks to the amazing shows that theater offers.
